The NTA results are in! Posted On 29 January 2020

The 25th National Television Awards ceremony took place last night and there were no surprises as to who won Best Presenter…

At a packed out O2 arena, Tuesday night’s glittering award ceremony recognising talent within TV, took place. And they’ll be no surprises that the award of Best Presenter went to Ant and Dec – for the 19th year running.

The Geordie duo also picked up a gong for I’m A Celebrity making it a double-win. On picking up their presenter gong, Ant said: “On the way in we had a chat, as we normally do, about this being the year we don’t win, but you do this again!

“We are more grateful and humble as the years go on.”

ITV also did well with This Morning who won their 10th consecutive award for best Live Magazine Show. Needless to say, hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby were a little worse for wear presenting this morning’s show.

On the night, Peaky Blinders also pulled a blinder, scooping two awards; one for Drama and the other for Drama Performance for Cillian Murphy who plays Thomas Shelby in the BBC TV series.

This year’s Special Recognition Award went to Michael Palin who dedicated it to his late friend, Monty Python star Terry Jones, who died last week aged 77.
