Dog walking apps you can use to earn some extra cash Posted On 24 May 2022

People have been making money for years by dog walking and these apps have made it even easier

Dog walking is right up there with babysitting and selling lemonade from a wooden stall in the front garden as odd jobs you can do to earn a few extra pennies here and there.

The wonderful world of technology has made picking up dog walking gigs in your local area, as well as finding someone to look after your pooch, even easier than ever before.

There are a whole range of apps where you can sign up and offer your services to pet-owners.

We have collected together a bit of information about a few apps you can download today.

Always make sure your circumstances are right if offering to look after someone else’s pooch, while equally if you are thinking about using these applications, make sure you feel happy with someone you do not know looking after your beloved pet.

PetBacker

PetBacker is a very easy app to sign up for and is a great way for pet lovers to make a bit of extra cash.

The app is split into three steps to allow eager dogwalkers to find jobs with ease.

Start off by listing exactly what services you can offer, which is free to sign up on.

Whether dog walking, offering a pet taxi, pet sitting, grooming or boarding, declare what you can do and put in your set schedule to fit around your existing commitments.

This will then post your listing as live and the offers will begin rolling in.

Rover

A very popular dog walking application is Rover.

The large network of walkers and pet sitters allows users to find walkers in their area and provide walks as and when you need them.

Walkers can easily sign up by heading to the Rover.com website, and heading to “Get started”, they can then set up a profile and declare what services they can offer.

The walker will need to pass a safety quiz, complete an ID verification and will be asked for testimonials to account for their reliability and trustability from past contacts.
